Get windows 10 app crashing when opening

Hello fellow members of the community,
I am going to cut straight to the chase, I reserved windows 10 around a month and a half before windows 10 release, although when I try to upgrade to windows 10, as soon as I open the window, for about a second the words "Please wait" appear accompanied by a loading wheel with a white background, then the app crashes. I have tried many times although it does not seem to open at all, please help!

it did it to me to, just keep checking windows update.

No need to wait for that buggy update to start working. Take matters in your own hands and download an appropriate ISO image from Microsoft directly, then burn it to DVD and run the installer under your current Win8.1. This will perform an update.
