Getting a Falcon!

um, hello...when you buy a prebuilt system, do you think you aren't paying for it? second of all they load tons of Extra Un needed crap on their..which im sure you are paying for aswell...

I'm lucky enough where i don't have to buy any software!

i can deffinetly understand the fact alot of people don't have time to build, or don't know how, or want a better warrenty... But i think there are other Companys to buy from that would get you a better price like Xicomputer or even Dell... i just think a starting price of 3,500 is a bit crazy

i know where snookims is coming from. A week ago I was considering buying the mj-12 from Alienware with only the best parts in it. But after seeing the totaled price, i couldn't help but do some research to figure out how much the parts really were. I did the same for Falcon and Voodoo; at the end I found out that all of those companies rip you off.

His falcon may turn out pretty good, but it's still a rip-off. I think what everyone on here is trying to say is that snookims should of done some research before pulling out the cash or credit card. It's the only smart thing to do.

Let's get one thing straight, the fastest most stable, most reliable system is one you build yourself from your own experience. Most enthusiasts here couldn't care less about Voodoo or Falcon. They are overpriced and underperformers with poor support. That applies to any OEM. Sure, you get "reasonable" hardware from Falcon or Voodoo, but you lose a lot of your ability to mix and match components. You always waste hundreds of dollars that you could've spent on better faster components or more peripherals. Pre-built PCs are only for newbies, IMO.

Dam, well i guess this is over, AMD_MAN put that in an Excellent way..and i don't think there is anything else to discuss....

thanks Amd_MAN

Yes, what he said :)

Even if you are a newb, you're better off with an IBM or a Compaq because they got a half decent tech support line.

alright, allow me to officially dislodge myself from snookims' side. First of all, you've been TEASED about your choice of computer. No one here thought you were dumb or intentionally wanted you to feel so UNTIL you pulled your Jeff K-esque rant a couple of posts back. In terms of me calling you a liar, you should remember that your computer from falcon northwest does in fact cost you a good deal more than 300 additional dollars to the price you'd pay if you built it yourself. Hence, you lied. Deal. I'm not saying you're horrible, but one form of lying is talking out of your ass. Further, if you wanted feedback, you got it. People gave you the best advice they knew how, which is to build it yourself for cheaper. It's not about being poor or rich, just not WASTING your money, however much of it you happen to have. (Hell, I highly doubt your job claims, and am willing to bet you're under 20, live with your parents, and THEY'RE willing to waste mone on your computer, if I were to judge by the caliber of your posts.) You were responded to with respect and concern for your purchase. You responded in turn with Venom, accusations, and insults. You were dragged over no coals and I honestly suspect that you wanted a bunch of oohs and jealous aahs over your expensive machine. You got mad when you didn't get it and will now take your anger out on unsuspecting counter-strike avatars under the pseudonym |\/|@d l33t ZN1p3r. You, sir, are a troll.

On this forum, fast and cheap are the two key words. A computer that is as fast as the next but costs $2000 more isn't respected.

Falcon has built a reputation as THE BEST built commercially available systems on the planet....PERIOD. If your rigs are that great, why aren't you building them for a living? Because your systems are nothing but glorified Minesweeper and Solitare machines built for nothing more than posting on forums about how knowledgable your computer building skills are. Wake up, smell the roses.......I don't need rude advice from pimple-faced half-wits with thier sole intention being to ridicule a persons computer purchases.

I think I speak for everyone(and I said nothing about your falcon before) ,when I say take your overpriced computer and get the [-peep-] off our forums you halfwit fucktard.

Hey mat, what's up? You missed all the excitement. I'm tired of bumping threads from that dumbass though. It's no fun on dial-up

Heh, I followed the thread, I personally think prebuilt systems are always overpriced, but one can justify the extra cost with good service warranties etc, however this little cocklick decided to insult the whole forum, so to him I fly the bird and took the gloves off, and if he comes back he will get more.

Dont [-peep-] with this forum.

No, no, buddwm had a mental seizure, created some aliases, and spammed the hell out of the forum. Fredi caught the first one, but this last one he hasn't been around for. Check out some different sections and see what I mean.

Thanks to all the pussies who got offended by my posts. I love ticking pimple-faced jackasses off more than anything. I'm done now. You can all go back to beating-off while I take a dip in my pool.

And the added bonus is that you get to unwrap all the boxes, like it's Christmas!

Oh and snookims, before you go back to playing EQ, just remember that every time I talk to someone like you, it reminds me that in 5 years when you graduate from high school, you'll be one more person keeping my toilet clean.

The End Story.

Those who know a lot about computers and believe in saving money in the sacrifice of support and stability is fine.

Those who also know a lot about computers and believe in paying extra for the best damn support on the planet, and for the best, most quality, most stable computer on the planet buy from Voodoo. You may choose to hate Voodoo for its overpricing. The truth is the owner of the company himself states on the site that his computers are overpriced for the reason that a group of staff works on a computer 1 by 1 while talking to you about it every step of the way. It is overpriced because all the hard labor the staff puts into it, the quality of the computer, and the best support you can ask for. If there is a problem with it you send it back (they pay for shipping) and they fix it for free. They overclock it and make it stable. Where else can you go on a Weekend and talk to the owner of the company himself on the phone, or get a reply from him in the next 30 minutes by forum?

Sure you say YOU can do it better, but don't all humans have ego's too big to admit they can't do it better?

Now watch all the immature replies to this post that I get shooting me down.

Quite the opposite actually. With experience, one could be a more stable and faster system for significantly less money. However, experience comes at a cost. As you know, experience building computer suggests trial and error and with error you lose money or stability in your first couple of PC or PC components.

Sure you say YOU can do it better, but don't all humans have ego's too big to admit they can't do it better?
And what makes Voodoo so perfect? Aren't the employees of Voodoo also humans?

That comment, in and of itself is immature.

They overclock it and make it stable.

They overclock their machines? I would assume not all of them though. Got more information about that, I've never heard of that before.

doesn't matter to me. it's your money, spend it how you like. just don't expect anyone to agree with you. you can't say they build the most stable systems. there are tons of people building them for themselves and companies, did someone go around and ask everyone to test the system to see how stable? no, it's YOUR OPINION.
Sure you say YOU can do it better, but don't all humans have ego's too big to admit they can't do it better?

at the same time that statement can be said about voodoo. and i don't see too many people that are "in the know" about computers tossing their money to companies like voodoo or falcon. in that small little world some people live in, it's all about the price tag. just so you can say "i am so cool, i spent $3,000+ on a machine that i probably won't be using in a year and a half". perfect example. my office chair is made out of bungee cords. at an expensive home depot expo they wanted $425, it's assembled already. i go over to office max, what do you know, same chair made by the same company, for $215. but i have to assemble it myself, dammit! but if you were to tell someone that bought the home depot chair that someone else had it for $200 less, they would find or make up some excuse to fit their perspective. obviously you didn't take the time to read any posts other than yours (for self gratification) and snookims. it's all based on perspective. i couldn't use your comp for what i need to do, so it would be useless to me. and i'm sure you couldn't do what you do with mine. just because it was your choice to buy from voodoo, does not mean they are the end-all-be-all of computer manufacturers. again, there is the ego thing again, if that is how you think, you put too much faith into your own judgement.
