Hello fellas.
I want to get a new GPU and im kind of stuck.

I have a core i5-4570 with an Asus H87 Pro mobo (since i didnt want to overclock) and an Asus ENGTS 450 GPU.I kept it from my last pc since i couldnt afford new GPU+Monitor+Psu.
Now that i saved some money i can.
My current monitor is a 17" samsung with a 1280*1024 max resolution.
I have a LC Power 6600 Psu and im planning to get an XFX Pro series 550W.
Then i have to choose between.

Asus DC2OC 307€ and no new monitor
Asus R9 280X DC2 288€ same scenario
Asus GTX 760 DC2OC 232€ with new monitor
and maybe Asus R9 270X DC2T 192€ with new monitor

You see only asus because if i get something else the prices go +10~20%.

If i keep my current monitor the new gpu sounds like a waste, but i was considering the first two cards because i ll possibly keep them 1-2 years longer.

If you can help guys it would be nice.

Ty in advance for your time.

Basically go with the 760 or the 270X with new monitor trust me going from a 17inch to a 24inch 1080p wide screen is nice. I upgraded from a 20inch 16x10 to a 24inch 19x10 and it seem like night and day. Just get a Tn panel while IPS are for a good one with low response time they tend to cost a bit of money while you can find nice TN screen which are faster and a bit cheaper than IPS.
I would go for the gtx 760 as it is a very nice card (i have one myself) and it will last you a long time (and you also get a new monitor). You could also go for the 280x but it will last only a little bit longer and you won't get a new monitor.

First, you need to make clear what you are going to output on your monitor.

Is it to play games and what kind of games? What resolution do you need (24" or 27" on the same resolution will be looking different from the same distance; higher resolution means more work for GPU) or is it more important to have fast response time on screen (TN panel with 120 or 144 Hz) or is it colour reproduction that matter more for you like what IPS panel better for?

Begin in the right end before you decide how you want to spend your money between monitor and GPU. After you know what kind of display you will need, then you also will know how much work you video card should be able to handle. From that point you also will know how much PSU power you will need to be able to run you system during load.

first of all, you need a decent monitor. cause whichever gpu you choose will be a waste of power and money for such low resolution(1280x1024).by the way the xfx is a great psu , are you buying from Greece?

the Benq i suggest is a great monitor for about 140€, also if you could stretch to an gtx760 that would be great as it is better than 270x

both 270x and 760 can run games fluently at 1080p, χαιρετισμούς απ Μαγνησία!

Its mostly for gaming and the occasional movie etc.Probably 22" (24" less likely) i was thinking about 1080p res,but i dont know if i am going to have big fps drops with the 760 or 270x
I play Guild Wars 2.Planetside 2,LoL and my brother DnD Neverwinter.
I certainly dont want a blurry screen but i dont see any 120hz + monitors available to me.
As for manufacturer the possible ones are Philips,Samsung and Benq.If u can recommend something better id be happy since i know nothing about monitors.
My monitor budget is <= 140 euros
And yes i m buying from Greece.I bought a Nexus 7 for 240 euros from there 3 months ago and i guess i got the bad one.I m getting credit instead of a new one so i have to shop from that store and get those parts for "price" minus ,i hope 240, the original value i paid then.

Solution
The bad news is Asus put the blame on me for my tablet (bad use they say) and they wanted 210€ to fix it when it costs 200 brand new.Down the drain it went!
The good news is i sold everything from my old hardware and got about 150€, i also found a 3month fully functional MSI GTX 770 for 240€ and it runs smoooooooooooth!!!!!

However, since i installed it my CPU temps have risen by about 10 degrees to 71 celcius during load and 48-50 idle. GPU temps during gaming are usually 73-75. Once i saw it climb to 81, also the top side of my case (behind the cpu) feels hot when i touch it.
I have a coolermaster k380 case with 3 additional fans but i think the airflow isnt that good.
