getting a new PSU but just realized what setup ive been using for 6 years.....

my psu is rated for 250 W but my estimated usage is 280w , i havent had a problem with this setup in 7 years, shouldn't it not work?

What PSU? It may be rated for 250W, but that doesn't mean it can't deliver more power. How often are the CPU, GPU and other components all running at full load? Probably not often and for very short periods.

The psu is some shitty cheap one came with my orginal system , full load for 6 hours on average a day , my record is about 50~ hours full load with no throttling

What are you running to keep everything 100% busy for so many hours? Several HP PSUs aren't as bad as people sometimes presume and their failure rate is very low.

Just games that are quite taxing on my system , no sleep just farming on games and keeping an eye on my cpu / gpu usage it was full load for all thoes hours im pretty sure

Total load should rarely exceed 250W with your components. You need to run stress tests to reach peak power.
