Hello, so I need a new psu and I have been recommended an antec, modular 620w power supply. (High current gamer.) I am not very familiar with this brand and I was wondering whether there would be a significant difference between it and a cx600m (Corsair). I am very familiar with corsair and know that their products are very good quality, so I am not sure which one I should get.

Thanks, Matt.

Both are good quality PSUs. The EVGA though is a bit better quality and a bit more convenient. Trust me, once you go fully modular you will never go back.

Ok, thankyou, I thought it was, but I didnt want to order the wrong thing, thanks for the information, oh and if I didnt tell you, its because I have a cheap psu and its causing my gpu to buzz, so I will update if it fixed it, regardless of whether it fixes it, I will be keeping it as its MUCH better than my previous crappy cooler master one.

I have never liked CM PSUs. Worked at a shop that was using them. Got them to move to the Corsair CX series or Seasonics. The CMs they were using would fail 50% of the time causing use to waste tons of time replacing them for warranty.

While the CX are not great PSUs, they are still better than the entry level CM PSUs.

Good luck.

I have just been looking in PC to see what cables I will need all is there but there is a very strange connector that plugs into the fan at the front of my case, its like a block with 2 slots in, and it comes from the PSU, there seems to be no connector like this on the evga PSU could you please confirm if I need the fan or if its possible to connect with the evga PSU.

Thanks for this I wanted to know because the male connector that connects the fan is a little loose so I would prefer to use the other female connector.

I havn't received the unit as of yet, but I have just figured out why my gpu buzzes from this psu, it happens when playing games, or when the voltage goes up. (see a coincidence?) So I suspect that because the psu is a low quality one, it cant handle the voltage or something along those lines.
