My client has a Toshiba Satellite 670 as I recall, and he is getting a runtime error when the power cable is unplugged.

I tried a few things, like changing power settings according to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qXtzeBhCcHU

then elsewhere I read to uncheck the "Vari-Bright" option in a Catalyst program, but he does not have that program.

According to System Information, he has an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200 series driver.

I suppose i need to update his driver, but i couldn't seem to do that. When I went to the site for the driver, I d/l'ed the new version, ran it, but windows seems to warn of damage if it wasn't the right one, so I stopped it until I was sure.

Maybe I need to try http://www.newsita.com/2014/09/how-to-fix-amdati-power-runtime-error.html

Anyone else run into this error?

If your system is equipped with one of these products, you may consider the following options:
Continue using the last operating system that fully supported your graphics card.
Upgrade to an AMD graphics product that provides Windows® 10 support.
