I have a Windows 11 PC in my den connected to my bedroom TV via HDMI cable bored through the wall. I would like to use an XBox controller to create an XBox like experience where I don't have to login to my PC when using the controller, however behaving like a regular PC when I use my mouse and keyboard in my den. While using my controller it would be great if it gives me access to only my games and not the entire PC. Is there an application that can make this happen?

ok how do i disable my PIN when I use my controller?
Like at login? Google "no password automatic sign on Windows" and you'll find instructions. It's obviously very insecure if others have access to your PC, but if you live alone or with other trusted adults it's not a big deal. Obviously with it being Windows there will be some dialogues that you can't use a controller for, so grabbing a cheap keyboard/touchpad wireless combo thing to keep by the couch (or using the Unified Remote Control app on your phone) is a must, but most of the time the controller will be enough.

You can also use Xbox Game Bar to switch between Steam and the Xbox app, giving you even more options... Or just add those games and any others you like to big picture as non-Steam games. That and something like RetroArch if you're interested in emulation, and you're largely set.

What makes this so cool is you can link different platforms like your Steam/ Epic / game emulators/ stand alone installed games. Gog games I thinks as well.

For those of you that don't remember games used to come in a Box with Cd/DVD's all into a single interface.

Not every game out there plays nice and works with the interface but for the most part it gives you the feel of Steams Big Picture but when you choose a game to play it's all from a single interface and it will kick up in the back ground your steam/ epic AKA however game is installed.

And being your using a x-box controller it works just out of the box vs like a PlayStation controller where you would have to put a software wrapper to get the PlayStation controller to work. Anyways Happy Gaming
