Question Getting data off old scsi drive

I need some help/assistance please.
A friend gave me a hard drive years ago and asked me if I could get some photos off it for his then girlfriend (now wife). It went into storage and they moved to the states. They are now coming back for her 40th birthday and so I thought it would be really nice if I could in some way get the photos off the drive and put it on a usb drive for her.
The problem is that it's a SCSI drive and I've spend a good deal of time trying to work out what's needed.
The drive in question is a Seagate Barracuda ST150176LW with a 68pin female connection. The power is molex.
My desktop is quite modern and there's no ide socket on the motherboard and not sure what PCI socket it is but I'm pretty sure it's too modern for any sort of PCI adapter. I do have an old dell dimension in storage which might have a compatible PCI socket but I don't really know where to start.
I've been looking at SCSI controller cards on ebay but they all seem to be pretty specific. I've downloaded the manual from the drive but again, I don't know where to start and it's very detailed.
I'm sure this drive probably came out of a server but I'm just wondering if there's anyway to get the data off using an old pc or some sort of adapter.
Maybe some nice sysadmin could point me in the right direction or link to a cheap scsi adapter on ebay (in europe if possible).
Any help or advice would be gratefully received.
Kind Regards,
Niall

Ps. Apologies if this was meant to go under the storage section, I just thought that because cables/adapters are involved....it might be better to post here.

I would think you could try SCSI to IDE adapter, and then IDE to USB adapter, but the issue I see here is the host computer even seeing that format any more.

You might look to see if you have have any legacy computer clubs or refurb shops in your area to see if they can assist.
