Getting my dad a GPU.

Only thing he uses a computer for is doing taxes, things like Microsoft Office and what not.

Putting it in my old PC I took my gaming GPU out of. Just a cheap and easy GPU any suggestions?

Does the PC not have integrated graphics?

If it doesn't have integrated graphics then something like a gt 1030 is probably fine. If it's for integrated graphics then use that imo. If you had an Intel CPU from within the last 5 years or so, then it should have integrated graphics.

Even though I know nothing about this computer I'll recommend a GT 710 for this purpose. Make sure it has the right output for the monitor he will use(ie VGA, DVI, etc).

Yeah, GT 710 is less than half the price of a GT 1030. But if integrated graphics are present on the system, no GPU should be needed.
