Help appreciated.

Windows 10 pc worked reliably for years.

Hung while using pdf merge split program.

After restarting I can't get a signal to my Dell 2715Q. So I can't try and investigate in safe mode.

The monitor is definitely working okay as it is operating normally when I connected another pc (my works pc) to it.

I figured it was maybe the DP cable on my home PC so tried it with the works PC cable.... still get nothing from the screen.

So something on my home PC is the issue.

I'm not great at fixing things. Would really appreciate some help...

Thanks folks.

JK.

N. B Can't give any further info re system as it's all on a file on the PC !

You can list your specs to the system like so:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:

For your OS, include the version of the OS, the last that you can remember, that is.

A system locking up, is tell tale of:
a| the PSU having a hiccup midway but in a minor way
or
b| the OS is conflicting with a device/driver or an app.
