Hi , so I have upgraded my graphics card from AMD 7870 to a GTX 970 recently and since then every Youtube video that I watch gets annoying amount of screen tearing which is very noticeable and distracting . I have tried setting Vsync on or adaptive or setting triple buffer on and Vsync off , basically any ways that I thought it would fix the tearing and none seem to work and I was wondering if anyone knows a fix for this .

I also tried playing the videos in HTML5 rather than Flashplayer but I still get the tearing .

Solution
as it turns out the issue was the windows 7 theme , I usually have the system running with best performance rather than best appearance for gaming so changing it back to best appearance under advanced system settings>performance settings solved the issue .
Have you clean installed the Nvidia Drivers using DDU? If not, then do it. THere is a guide here in Tom, which made by darkbreeze but i can`t find it. I think you can search it here under Graphics and Dispaly. It was title "laymens guide blahblahblah".

Any solution yet? I am having the exact same problem as you. Screentearing on youtube with html5 and flash.
i updated drivers, etc, enabled vsync on/off/adaptive, rolled back a few version in driver, aero theme. Nothing working for me.
