Getting strange mouse lag with new motherboard

Hey guys,

I just built a new computer. I bought an ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO motherboard with an AMD Athlon II X3 processor (three cores, 3ghz), 4 gigs of ram (two sticks of Crucial DDR3 1333 2gb), a 512mb ATI Radeon HD 4350 video card, a IDE Western Digital hard drive (only thing I had spare to put in it) and a 430 watt PSU.

I built the system and everything went fine; the only issue I have is that I have 4gb of memory and a 32bit OS (Vista) so I can't use all of my memory. After I built the system, I noticed that my mouse is very laggy. It doesn't do it all of the time, just off and on, but it makes gaming quite unplayable. I have a Microsoft Mobile Mouse 6000 and the mouse worked perfectly prior to plugging it into this computer. I know it isn't the system slowing down because I can browse through windows using keyboard commands with no lag or anything, so it has to be the mouse.

I've already ruled out the mouse being the problem because it is brand new and works fine in other computers. I have all my latest drivers installed (including BIOS flash and chipset updates). I have no errors at all in anything on my system. I don't have anything near the computer that is interfering with the wireless signal either.

I am thinking that it is a motherboard issue. Maybe an IRQ or USB issue or something that is interfering with the mouse. Anybody have any ideas on what could be causing this and how I can fix it? I know that I can't change the IRQs manually in my BIOS so I can't even check to see if that is an issue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
