[SOLVED] Getting the error message “An operating system wasn’t found. Try disconnecting any drives that don’t contain an operating system.

So yesterday I had built a new PC and used an optical drive to install windows 10 onto an SSD. As far as I could tell the installation was good as I was able to download apps like Firefox and Spotify and use them. However one problem that I had come across was that my computer would always boot to BIOS and then I would have to manually boot to my SSD. I made sure that maybe SSD was #1 in boot priority yet it would still boot to BIOS.

In another attempt to troubleshoot my problem, tried to manually boot from my SSD but instead I am getting the message “An operating system wasn’t found. Try disconnecting any drives that don’t contain an operating system. Press Ctrl + Alt + Del to restart. So I disconnected my optical drive and HDD however I’m still getting this same message.

I’m not really sure where to go from here so any help would be appreciated.

When choosing the boot option. There should be 2 options for your SSD. One of them should include the words: "UEFI Shell", pick that one as your first.

Can you show screenshot from Disk Management?

The problem arises from both legacy and UEFI boot modes enabled on your system.
Wrong one is tried first, it fails and you get redirected to BIOS.

Enable one boot mode and disable the other.
(you can tell, which boot mode is the correct one, by looking at DM screenshot)
