Hi, im using a computer with FSP Hydro 500W PSU and thinking to get a ups for it.. can please suggest an ups that can hold the system online for 10mins? For monitor, im using a 80W TV and have some fibreoptic ONT and modem.

Solution
The 500W power supply doesn't really tell you anything about the actual power required. Use an on-line power supply calculator to get an estimate of your actual usage. Then take that number over to APC's website and find a UPS size that will support your total for 10+ min -- https://www.apc.com/products/runtime_for_extendedruntime.cfm?upsfamily=27 That will give you a "size" for the UPS required. If your total power is 280W then you can see that a 1000W UPS can support over 13min. That is the size you would look for. Then find a UPS in your country that has that wattage rating AND has a USB port to allow the UPS to signal your PC to shutdown before the battery is exhausted.
