gfx card brand selection

I want to buy the gtx 970. I want to know which brand I need to choose. The brands I consider are: Zotac, MSI.

I need the brand which will not show artifacts atleast for 3 years. I don't need configuration which will make a graphic intensive game on high fps. I feel 30 fpss is more than enough.

(P.s. i am only 14 and i dont go to work. So i dont want to shell out more money)

msi but if you only want 30fps save money and buy a amd 270 or 280

Haven't heard Zotec, however MSI is a pretty reliable brand though.

Ive run both brands and they are both good. Ran two zotac 480's and they overclocked like a mad man, then switched to two msi 580's also overclocked great.

All 4 of the cards are still running strong in different builds now. I would not hesitate to buy ether brand again.

The GTX970 guts are all made by the same manufacturer, namely Nvidia.
The cards differ inn cooling solutions and factory overclocks.

Where you live may determine your options as to where it could get serviced.

Brand alone won't determine how long a card will last. Zotac and MSI are both good brands. Go with whichever is cheaper, or whichever has the features you want.
