recycle bin shows empty but virscan shows 1.54 GB in
recycler file s-1-5-xxxx........ is it ok to delete these
files there is 6 of them on "c" drive

Assuming you don't need any of the files, yes, it should be fine. Each user
has his own recycle bin in Windows 2000, and you're probably seeing someone
else's recycle bin.

Do you not have a maximum space set on your recycle bins?
