First, i have a Asus P8H67 Mobo, Trying Gigabit Lan PCI Adapter Rc 400. I tried plugging in the NIC and nothing. Pc wont boot. Will spin up and light up for just a split second and then it will stop. if i leave it for a moment it will try again. my onboard NIC died so i am trying a new path rather than new mobo of new onboard,I'm not so good with a iron. also the PC Runs without the card in.

I have

- Tested Pci Slot
- Tested NIC

Solution
There would still be a bios setting to kill onboard lan/ethernet regardless of it being ''broken'' or ''damaged''. In any case, I'm not really sure..its odd that it works on your friends but not yours..and then your friends card works on his but not yours. Perhaps just swap cards with him and call it a day? lol. I'm a bit stumped on that 1.
