Gigabyte 290x windforce + asus sabretooth 990fx r2 mobo, amd fx 8320 or w/e the 3.5 ghz one is. 750 watt psu corsair.

worked fine for 2 days while i was installing things, then i re ran the disc that game with the card to make sure i didnt miss any drivers but didnt install anything, then installed my ssd disc while downloading my games on steam overnight, turned off the monitor. woke up and the gpu wouldnt work. my mobo has red lights determining when something isnt working, and its lit up on the gpu. the fans on the gpu work but no display. I unplugged it completely, duster sprayed the pci slot and the card, re installed, nothing.

help pls 🙁

If a different PCIe slot does let things work then it's an issue with the current PCIe slot (thus defective motherboard). I doubt that is the case.

If you try the card in a different computer make sure it has a sufficient power supply (has the proper 6/8-pin connectors for power). If it works there then obviously the card is good which would suggest the motherboard was your original problem.

ill try it in my old pc itll prolly work there. or a new pci slot
