Can someone tell me what the difference is between:

Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3070 EAGLE OC and Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3070 Ti GAMING OC?

The former is £100 cheaper.
I read the extra Ti isn't worth it over the non Ti version, but not sure what Eagle OC and Gaming OC mean?

Bigger, and 'supposedly' better cooling. I say supposedly, because it's offset by the higher product tier having a higher power limit; it does have a higher factory bump on it too.
Eagle and Gaming use the same fans, so no difference there in regards to noise levels.

FYI: Ignore the advertised boost/gaming clocks. Those are more of a worst case scenario.
Gpu Boost will easily push the core higher than that on its own, relative to temperature, power, voltage.

As far as trying to push higher clocks: RTX 40 is voltage limited. GTX 10 - RTX 30 is power limited.

EDITed for typo.

OC - means factory overclocked. Ti model is slightly better.

Hmm. I was set on the Ti version as that would probably see me good for a few years, but then found the price of the Eagle has dropped to just £550 on one website.
£550 vs £700 - not sure the difference would be worth it now.
