Hi all,

I can get either of these cards at retail price in a local shop. Eagle is $30 USD more... is it worth the extra? They seem to be very very similar, Eagle has a little RGB, higher OC rate, and a different backplate. Not sure if that means better cooling.

My case is closed, but maybe in a few years I'll get a window case, so that doesn't matter. BUT, do they pick a slightly better chip for Eagle (best reserved for Auros I assume), and worst for Windforce?!

I will be using it mostly for running AI locally, and 1080Px2 (dual monitor) gaming. QUIET/SILENT operation is MOST CRITICAL, and I might even bring the speed down a bit to ensure it runs cool.

Is it worth the extra for Eagle or just marketing gimmicks?! Also, would RGB sell better in used market later?

Gigabyte's Windforce is their entry level card, while Eagle is supposed to be higher end. Performance difference will be imperceptible between the two cards, but if you think the Eagle looks nicer or you're really worried about resale value, then it may be worth the extra thirty dollars to get that card. RGB has no influence with resell, what people are looking for is the specific brand, condition, and price. I also wanted to mention the 5070 Ti is ridiculously overkill for 1080p gaming, so it might be in your best interest to either pick a different card, like the Radeon 9070XT (which has more VRAM and performs similarly for way less money) or upgrade your monitors.

I don’t need the performance, I need the F’ing 16gb VRAM for AI models.

It’s a travesty and a scam to force ppl to such high end models to get measly 16gb. A 5070 with 16gb would have been fantastic. But it’s only 12gb 🤬

So, essentially no notable difference apart from the tiny RGB, right?
Yes, they are both the exact same GPU ordered from NVIDIA with a different cooler slapped on. Grab whichever one you think looks nicer if the prices are that similar. Or save the thirty dollars and get the Windforce model. Don't forget to download GPU-Z and double check your card isn't missing any ROPs when it arrives.

Thanks. How do I check that under GPU-Z?
