Gigabyte 970A-DS3P Audio jacks not working

this happen last year when i was on my previous house i lived in. In that day my pc got shock/surge by thunder (i think thats what happening at that time.It because my pc suddenly restart when its happening and suddenly i didnt hear the sound). The system recognised it when i inject into the audio jack from the rear and front audio jack but i cant hear any sound from it nor record any sound. so right now i had to use an adapter for a moment. Can anyone give me any tips for me to fix this problem? Or should i buy best but cheap soundcard which have newest updates?(i bought some cheap soundcard but it doesnt work that great with the software. the software are oudated and there're no website for the soundcard anymore. i think it went bankcrupt or something). Any suggestion would be appreciate. sorry for my bad english.

Did you check windows settings, sometimes there's some applications that get muted and others not. So you don't see there's a mute activation because its only on some apps.

may you give me what kind of application i should check? so far ive checked only realtek hd audio manager and windows audio setting and none of those mute anything.
