[SOLVED] Gigabyte aorus gaming 5 z370 plus i7-8700k?

Would a gaming 5 mobo and i7-8700k be viable? I was planning on getting a gaming 7 but they're expensive in Australia and the only place that sells them at a reasonable price is out of stock with no ETA. I should note that this is a pc upgrade and not an entirely new build. My current specs are:

Mobo: Asrock h270 Pro4
Cpu: i5-7500
GPU: gigabyte 1060 6gb extreme gaming windforce
RAM: 8gb corsair LPX

I've checked for compatibility issues with my case - Phanteks Ethoo Pro

Shortly after this upgrade my plan is to buy a better gpu, probably second hand.

I'm currently run a Z370 Gaming 5 and a 8700K and it does fine. However from looking at PCpartpicker you can get a Z390 board for around the same price($299).
