Hi

I upgraded my machine to a recent B460-HD3 + 10700U cpu and I wanted to use my old raided drives with Linux. Drives are MBR and have a Linux system there (installed on md0 md1 software raid). The problem is now that the board will not boot the drives no matter what setting I put in the BIOS.

CSM enabled, VGA legacy, SATA support: all devices enabled, WIndows 10 feature: "other OS", no secure boot. Both drives show up in the boot order (not prefixed with UEFI as they are legacy) but nothing happens on power on. Screen changes to a blue bar on top (1 line high) at some point with cursor under the bar, but no further messages. Nothing like "no bootable device found", no GRUB prompt, nothing. Seems to hang.

No matter what settings I try, no boot.

Any suggestions? Can this board ever boot legacy drives? Can it run Linux or only a signed OS like Win10?

RAID drives are not usually portable between motherboards.
