Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3 Rev 1.2 Bios Update for FX 6300

Hello, I bought a Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3 and I have got the rev 1.2 version of the motherboard. I understand i need to update the bios in order for my fx6300 to work with the motherboard. Is it possible to flash the BIOS with this CPU connected even though it isn't fully supported? Thanks

I´m sure you got to update the bios before put in the new CPU so save your actual processor, update then get the new one and keep, borrow, sell or whatever you want to do with your old CPU if you don´t have a compatible processor you best bet is to ask someone for it.
