I just got a Gigabyte GA-F2A88XM-HD3 mobo with a AMD A10 6800k APU. The board came with the original F1 BIOS Rev, so I tried to update it to the latest F5 from off Gigabytes website via Q Flash in the BIOS, but it wouldn't work. I decided to use their Windows based BIOS flash, which worked, but upon start up now when I hit Delete to enter the BIOS, all I get is a black screen with the cursor arrow, and the arrow doesn't move. . . . No BIOS.

I tried backing the BIOS down to the F4 version and it still didn't work. Re-installed F5, still nothing. Windows works, everything on the computer works, I just have no BIOS now (which is a huge problem).

Thanks ahead for any help.

Stop stop stop. I've solved the problem. Maybe are you using an HDMI monitor?
I've got a Samsung TV that I use as monitor for my htpc. Black screen, in my case, is due to unsupported video mode of bios (640X480). BIOS can't start correctly because it can't get response from video output. I've tried to start with VGA cable and.. tadaaahh! BIOS is working fine!

I just tried, and it said my system is protected from installing that version of firmware. . . . Nice! It's their firmware and software to install it.
I tried using a wired keyboard and mouse, since I was getting just a black screen with a cursor that wouldn't move, but was also using a wireless keyboard and mouse combo, but it did nothing.

Similar problem here. Brand new F2A88XM-HD3, with A6700 and 4gb RAM. Sometimes it stucked on black screen with arrow (at first time on center of the screen, after 1 sec on the right). After requesting an RMA, after a mail that said there was no damage on the motherbord, it came back presenting the same problem. System start up normally, but every time I try access BIOS I can't do anything. I've tried with both usb and PS/2 keyboards.
