Hello everyone!

I have been planning to build a new pc for a year now. Ive been considering getting an i5 4590 based build, but now that Skylake is out, ive found that here the i5 6500 (non-k) is the exact same price as the 4590.
I decided to go for the newer tech, and i know that the mobo and ddr4 ram will cost a bit more, but i think new is better and its still within my budget.
This lead me to look at the Gigabyte GA H170 HD3 motherboard. So far i have found no reviews or no thoughts if this mobo is any good or total crap.
I would like to ask 2 things:

1. Is the Gigabyte GA H170 HD3 any good? Does it have any issues? I am NOT going to oc the cpu (obviously) And i dont really care for fancy connections whatsoever, i just want a solid performing mobo that could last me at least 5 years

2. Is the i5 6500 better than the i5 4590? The 4590's clock is 100 mhz higher, i am a bit confused

(the purpose of the build is gaming, i won't ever do SLI or XF, but i will oc the GPU a bit)

As always, thank you for your help!

HERE (LINK) Is The review by THG. They liked it.

HERE (LINK) is a 15 pg post on Overclock.net. I didn't read it but you might find some useful info there. If there are any "Issues", these ppl will find them.

GB makes good mobos so I wouldn't hesitate to buy one, if the price is right.

I would guess that the i5 6500 + H170 mobo can easily make up for the 100 MHz difference in the i5 4590. The i5 6500 + H170 should be a very good combination!

I would go Skylake if your budget permits, since you're buying a new PC might as well go for new tech, better temps and energy efficiency. Also native x4 support for NVMe SSDs.
