It keeps restarting before bios even loads. The monitor does not come on, it turns on and then after about 6-10 seconds powers off then back on. I am guessing the MB is bad?

This is a new build and I have disconnected everything and tried just the MB, processor, and RAM. It turns on, a bunch of codes flash but too hard to read except for 55 where it hangs up and then shuts down and starts over. The monitor never comes on. I have tried swapping the ram to the other channel (2 8 gb corsair sticks out of the same package) I have removed the RAM as well with the same thing happening.

I'm having exact same problem...I went out and bought another motherboard because I thought I had damaged the pins on the last one....but just connected the new one up and exact same problem so its looking like a bios issue or something mine is a GA-Z170X-Gaming3

So as dumb as it sounds I actually didn't have my motherboard powered correctly!!

As well as the 26 pin ATX power cable there's a 12v power as well from the PSU DDirectly to the motherboard which I missed all together..

I'm now booted up and running fffff what a noob

But did you connect the 12v power from the PSU to the processor ?? Not the 26pin ATX power but the seperate 4pin cable...
This is what I didn't do and done my head in for days trying to work out why the god damn thing wouldn't load!!
