Gigabyte GA-Z170zX-Gaming 7 shows code A9 then A6

Brand new build: Gigabyte GA-Z170X-Gaming 7 mobo shows code A9 then A6 at boot time.... Nothing shows on the monitor at all. Can someone help? I have 2 sticks of 8GB HyperX Fury DDR4 2133mhz, ATI HD5770 for temporary video display, PNY Prevail 480GB SSD which has Win 10 previously working on another mobo without any issues. Core i7 6700K CPU with CoolerMaster Hyper 103 cooler all brand new. PSU = BFG Tech ES series 800W power supply. Can't get into the BIOS or indeed see the BIOS....screen is blank...

in the bios make sure sata chipset set to achi mode. make sure the drives have power and data. on newer mb check the mb guild see what sata ports are shared with sata express and other devices. ports 3 and 4 may be turned off if sata express or m2 slots are on.

Yes SATA Configuration is in default AHCI mode, haven't changed that at all. Drives have power and data connected correctly. I'll check the user guide about shared ports with sata express, although I have nothing connected to them, seems like ports 0,1,2,3 are turned off...

Hi Motherboard Master, sorted it all out it was the display issue, connected it to a 32inch TV via HDMI using the onboard graphics, and hey presto, the BIOS revealed in all it's glory, 32GB RAM recognised, Core i7-6700K working sweetly all good....apart from one issue, I have a coupe of old Samsung SATA 2 1TB hard drives, apart from the PNY SSD boot/OS drive and for the life of me I can't get them recognised by the BIOS...the Blu Ray DVD burner shows up fine, but these 2 drives just don't appear and I can't connect them as every-time I do so the system hangs at the BIOS screen...SATA Configuration is in default AHCI mode, and the setting setting in Storage Boot Option Control as below:

Disabled Disables option ROM.
Legacy Only Enables legacy option ROM only. (Default) <---------- Set in default mode
UEFI Only Enables UEFI option ROM only

Can you explain what is the problem here and how can I get them to be recognised...???

Try connecting them one by one and testing. See if both of them are defective, or only one.
