Gigabyte Gaming 7 BIOS downgrading

My board has the latest F20 BIOS (I was impatient lol) and I'd like to downgrade to one that would let me change the BLCK settings to OC my i7 6700.

On their website it says you cannot downgrade from that BIOS. Is this 100% true? Someone told me that I could still flash to an older BIOS. But it did not detect the files on the flash drive when I tried.

I have a Corsair h60 cooler installed and it's keeping it ice cold under load lol. It'll be a shame if I never get to use its full potential.

I've tried both of those BIOS from that website as well as a more up-to-date one that allows non-k overclocking and I can see the files in the BIOS but when I choose to use them it says "can't read file".

What format are you using? Are you unzipping them first and using an FAT USB drive? It may be that you cant rollback BIOS versions with that board.
