Hello again, yesterday I posted a question about the cpu cooler which was solved but now I would like to know why my GPU is loud and hot!!! On idle, it's 44 degrees Celsius and on load, it's 80 degrees Celsius...also, the fan noise is just way too loud. It's also down clocked since it doesn't work properly at original over clock. I didn't want to RMA since I would probably get a gtx 950 back or it'll take too long as well as I heard terrible stories on gigabyte RMA. What's wrong with my GPU? Is it the fan? The gpu itself? Can I replace it with the Arctic Cooler extreme IV to make it quiet and cool? Thanks.

if the airflow in the case is low with high temps then OF COURSE the gpu will need to turn up its own fan speed to try to keep cool...
Looking at this data: http://www.hardocp.com/article/2013/07/09/gigabyte_gtx_760_oc_version_video_card_review/9#.Vx0TYHrHrL8

It does seem as if your card is running about 10-15 degrees too hot. This can be due to poor air circulation in your case, a bad fan on the card itself, a bad thermal paste job on the card or just prematurely aged thermal paste.

To check for poor air circulation, you can open your case and try checking your temps with the cover open. (Be careful of liquids and pets when you do this! An open case is a shock hazard.) If the temps drop to the range in the article above, then you probably have an airflow problem in your case. While the case is open, you can also check and make sure that all of the fans on the card itself is spinning.

You can replace the cooler with an aftermarket model if your card is a reference model. I'd try repasting the card first though to see if you've got a case of bad paste.

How would I check Temps in the case? Could I use my phone to check Temps since it has a temperature sensor? Also, if the Temps drop between 29 and 69, it's an airflow problem? Thanks.

HW monitor for gpu temps and Intel desktop control center for ambient temperature.

Well that explains why your idle temp is so high. If the temp in your case is 43 degrees, that explains why your GPU is at 44 degrees when it's just sitting there. I think you probably have an airflow problem in your case. You should check all your case fans to make sure they're spinning. If they are, you may need to add some more powerful fans or add some extra fans if you have space for them in your case.

Yea, you might be right....I personally think it's a GPU issue since the fan noise shouldn't be really loud as I've seen in reviews, the noise should be 30 dB yet, it sounds like a leafblower....
