Gigabyte Gtx 970 4GB xtreme edition or Sapphire R9 390 8GB Nitro

Hello,
I know its a long and old debate. Of course, R9 390 is winning over Gtx 970 now a days. But the this Xtreme edition of gtx 970 is really catching attention. Its gaming boost is 1342 mhz :O and its really eye catching. So please give me some advice. I would pick an R9 390 anyday, but this xtreme edition giving me hard times.

R9 390 definitely, more future proof with the higher ram and better dx12 performance, as long as your PSU can handle it.

Mu current psu is 450w 😛 Because I am using Gtx 960. I will sell it. But I am a budget person. So I would like to pick Corsair VS550 psu and that's where I am also dead 😛 because i don't think Corsair VS550 will handle R9 390 🙁

How are you so sure that dx12 is soo much better on amd cards? just cause some games with dx12 api seems to run a bit better on amd?

After seeing the quantum break gameplay on those cards, people are starting to notice 390 is better. Because it was 15-30 fps difference and that's a lot.
Basically that's why i am also confused picking out the correct gpu between gbyte xtreme 970 or R9 390.

First of all quantum break is far from optimized secondly dx12 is not really here yet, game companies still dont know how to implement dx12 correctly Id choose the gtx 970 dx12 is something you shouldn't be worried about when the time comes everything will be fixed

Nvidia won't fix a 3-4 year old card. And prices are similar, why would you go for the 970?

GTX 970 is already 1 year and 7 months old. By the time DX12 becomes more mainstream it will be already 3+ years old. By that time support for it will be all but gone.
