Gigabyte H110m-a 7th Gen Compatibility

The H110 is compatible with 7th gen after a bios update correct? I’ve also heard that if the first three digits of the serial number are higher than 165, that the board comes with the bios update as it was newly manufactured. Can anyone confirm this?

Yes you need to make sure it has a BIOS update loaded or it won't boot.

Serial should be verified by Manufacturer.

Best bet is a B250 for out of the box compatibility.

You will need to look at the date of the first compatible BIOS. It could be the first few numbers or the last few numbers of the serial number.

I just looked at the BIOS date, 2016/11/23

So the serial number would have to be something including Dec (12) and 2016 (16), *But as SR-71 Blackbird said, this would need to be confirmed by manufacturer.
