Just getting ready to fire up this new build, my first in *many* years.. I'm not finding where on this mboard is proper place to connect the Samsung EVO 850 SSD I will be installing my OS's on as a boot drive. Looking to dual boot Win10 and a Linux distro.

I was also thinking to install 2 separate drives for data of each OS, is it necessary or beneficial to either OS? I'm thinking format of linux data drive can be better than NTFS/Fat etc.

EDIT: SATA6 port 0 looks like it should be correct for a boot drive. If someone could just confirm that, I guess this is solved.

Yep your right! Plug that baby into port 0 as your main drive! Btw; you can always configure the boot drive within the motherboard. But hardware wise the boot order is 0 - 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - etc..
