Doesn't look very comfortable, but if Microsoft insists on using a tablet interface in the desktop version of Windows, something like this will probably make more sense than a giant, 27" touch screen.

The "touch surface" on both the magic mouse and Microsoft's touch mouse can only scroll up, down, left and right....that's it. This Gigabyte garbage actually acts like a tracking pad as well with FULL gesture support.....not what Apple claims to be gesture support.

Why is there a switch to change between mouse and touchpad mode? Couldn't they simply use a grip detection algorithm like any proper multi-touch solution would have?
Also, right click and free scroll being a button on the side is hokey, couldn't they simply zone out the touchpad such that you actually use it like a regular mouse in mouse mode.

A neat idea, but it's sounds like pretty shoddy implementation.

You're wrong. Both Apple and one of Microsofts Touch Mice support full gestures.
