gigabyte motherboard stuck on boot screen after cmos battery removed

hi i need a lil help with this one
so the problem started when i was cleaning my pc and i had to remove the hdd led but when i was finished i put it back where it is but the pc then got stuck on the post screen idling on booting from cd dvd but after that it says disk boot failure please insert system disk and press enter
i thought it was my hard drive but it was fine so i inserted my system disc and it told me to press any key to start xpressrecovery but then my keyboard didnt work
it didnt respond to the boot menu or such
so i went here to find a solution to the keyboard and two topics suggested that i reset cmos and i removed the battery to reset it but the keyboard remained not working
now every time i try running my pc either it works but get stuck in the boot menu or it doesnt work at all
so any help would be appreciated!

Go into the bios and reconfigure the settings

i cant access the bios because my keyboard doesnt work

is the kb PS2 or USB?

its a PS2 keyboard

May have to try a USB keyboard. Removing the battery would have reset the settings.

You may have to use a USB kb, to enable PS2 in the BIOS

i tried a usb keyboard before but it didnt work too

Check the connections in the case for the cd and hdd's. Maybe one of them are loose

i made sure the LEDs are plugged in and not loose

And what about everything else the sata cables etc

i didnt touch anything else but the hdd led
