Not as pointless as advertising a "misty" plastic cover you have to remove and throw away to install the cpu.

Visually, it kind of reminds me of their Prime Utopia motherboard concept. If they made that plastic cover into an actual waterblock top for the motherboard, it would really evoke that concept even more.

It's a limited edition model. That's enough for some people to tell gigabyte to shut up and take their money.

Anyway, if they're gonna do a limited edition run, might as well make it speciol.

It's probably not real gold but gold color and likely Titanium Nitride which is a near diamond hard form of plating.
