Gigabyte RX 460 work with hdmi to vga?

So I'm planning to by Gigabyte RX 460 2gb however it has no analog output meaning it won't work with vga screen I think which is what I have.However will it work if I get a hdmi to vga cable?

VGA is analog while HDMI is purely digital, therefore there are no 'passive' adapters that can work. You should be able to use an active adapter such as this
