Gigabyte Warranty Transfer

I am not sure if this is in the right thread, but anyway....

I am looking at buying a used Gigabyte GTX 980 g1 gaming for 600 AUD off ebay and was wondering if the warranty was transferable, the owner lists down that he has the box, the receipt and plenty of warranty left.
Will this warranty be transferred to me? How risky is it buying a second hand gpu?

Without being able to test it, it's as risky as anything else you can't try first that is used. A good % of people setting used video cards sell bad ones.
If the warranty is transferable, you can check with Gigabyte or have the guy read the warranty statement.
