Hi everyone!

I'm dealing with a problem with my motherboard.

I have a Gigabyte x299 master and an i7 7800x processor

The pcie x8_1 slot and Pciex8_2 aren;t working.

Windows 10 does not see anything that is plugged into the pcie x8_1 or pcie x8_2 slot

How can I activate these slots?

I removed the cards from the pcie x16_1 and _2 slots and plugged them into the pciex8_1 and _2 slots do not give an image to the monitor.

I also connected NVMe disk - Plextor ssd in these slots and still nothing.

What could be the reason for this or can you change something in the BIOS to make it visible?

Please I need some answers :eek::oops:

Thanks

Solution
X299 AORUS MASTER features unique PCI Express design that utilizes all 44 lanes from the CPU for full bandwidth.

Intel Core i7-7800X Skylake-X 6-Core uses a 28-lane CPU (6-core). You would want to use a 44-lane CPU (10-core or above) for full bandwidth, but only have a 28-lane CPU.

Refer to table in motherboard manual on page 19.
