Hello! a friend offered me a cheap Z170X G3 and i was thinking about getting the AVEXIR Blitz LED 3200mhz (http://www.avexir.com/product/blitzspec-ddr4.html), but while checking the mothers specifications i noticed that it says

Support for DDR4 3466(O.C.) /3400(O.C.) /3333(O.C.) /3300(O.C.) /3200(O.C.) /3000(O.C.) /2800(O.C.) /2666(O.C.) /2400(O.C.) /2133 MHz memory modules

Does it mean that its gonna take them as 3200mhz just by placing them in the slots? do i have to modify the UEFI?

Is this a proper hardware match or should i get different DDR4?

Solution
You will have to go into the UEFI and enable XMP and select your speed. Otherwise they will default to 2133. You can check your motherboard's memory support list to be 100% sure of compatibility, but those have very limited choices. It should be fine.
