Hello, I am currently in the process of building a new somewhat budget gaming computer, and I cannot decide between these two mobos.

Gigabyte : http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1165562&CatId=7212&SRCCODE=LINKSHARE&cm_mmc_o=-ddCjC1bELltzywCjC-d2CjCdwwp&AffiliateID=je6NUbpObpQ-OZdz3Y.iMr6HKnk9qedQhw

Asrock : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157271&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-Motherboards%20-%20Intel-_-ASRock-_-13157271&AID=10440897&PID=3938566&SID=

The Asrock is 40-50 dollars more expensive ( I think I have a 10$ off promo for that Gigabyte mobo somewhere ), But I wanted to know what you guys thought of these boards. I've read reviews that seem to go both ways, and I don't really know what to think or which to buy. Is the Asrock a better performing mobo? Or is the difference in performance too miniscule to pay 40-50 extra dollars.

On top of this, what brand/speed of RAM should I buy? I know I am getting 8 GB, but someone on these forums told me that the lower the RAM ( 1333 > 1600 ) is better, or even if I should get RAM that is overclockable. Trying to save money, but keep a good performance.

Current Build:

i5 2500k
8gb RAM
XFX 6950 or XFX 6970
750W PSU
Rosewill Challenger U3
MOBO

Gift Card should come tomorrow so I can buy mobo. Any chance you could recommend some new RAM for me malmental? That RAM that was suggested earlier in the thread is sold out now :( Would love to get some sticks for cheap, don't want low quality/speed though.
