I turned the computer off last night, and unplugged the psu power cable, due to the lightning we were having last night. When i went to plug it back in, and power it up, nothing. Tried a different psu, still dead. When i go to reseat the 24 pin connector to the mainboard, the oc power light flashes once or a couple of times before i completely seat it.

A complete rebuild of the indicated RIG fixed the issue, also there is a small button on the bottom right corner of the board next to an orange LED, pressing that fixed my power issue, and I'm now sitting at the computer in question typing this response.

I don't know how, but I keep getting really lucky and stumbling across the fixes for this and my other rigs.

Just glad I don't have to buy another mainboard.

Stress tested the GPU and CPU, everything is functioning like before.

I had the same problem with my Gigabyte Z97X-SOC Force. I also had a weird problem with it where it would keep powering it self on after shutdown or hibernate. I turned it off last night and turned off the power supply so it wouldn't power it self on during the night. Then this morning I tried turning it on and it wouldn't, then I noticed the led on the power button on the motherboard wasn't on and had the same issues, power LED flashes before completely seating the 24pin connector. Tested around on the PC and deduced it was the motherboard causing the problems, googled it and found this. Press the button on the bottom right (the clear battery switch I believe) and it started working again.

Seems to be working again, haven't tested much out yet.
