Hy guys.

So. One of my friends recently got an i3 6100 with a Gigabyte B150M-D3H-DDR3 motherboard, along with two Kingston Hyper X Fury 4gb modules, running at 1600Mhz and 1.5V. I said to him, that skylake CPU's are not supporting normal DDR3 modules, only DDR3L, which are running at 1.35V. He said, that the vendor said to him, that it will be safe.
My question is, will those memory modules damage that CPU, or there will be no problems at all?

Solution
You made your recommendation (use low voltage RAM). I think you should just step back. It isn't your CPU, and the motherboard vendor says it is OK.

So that means, it will be safe? I mean Intel says that it will damage the memory controller of the cpu.

Hm interesting. So do you think, i can trust gigabyte and the vendor to?
