gigacube 9600 pro *lite*?

im sure many of u hav heard of the 9600 pros gigacube r selling... labelled as *lite*.... the diff is nearly $100AUD and 200mhz memory clock... so it runs at 400/400 whereas normal one runs at 400/600 right? would this make a big difference? and couldnt i OC it back up to 600? it also as 128bit interface... but i think thats normal... i think...anyways gigacube any good? like sapphire n stuff?

**EDIT** the normal 128mb 600 pro costs $382... whereas the lite costs $270 and a leadtek gfx 5600 128mb costs $300
watd be the best choice? esp after hearding about that glitch in HL2?

wat about a 128mb sapphire/gigabyte 9600 non-pro? does that beat 5600 and would a gigacube (yes i know u said they suck)lite 400mhz/400mhz beat the 9600 non-pro? 325mhz/400mhz

I'd say a Saphhire is a better choice, but at the same time, the people I have talked with at Rage3D said the Sapphires were TERRIBLE ovrclockers. For those two it comes down to p[rice, and willingness to take a risk. Some Gigacubes are good overclockers, but they are the 'Ultras' not the 'lites'.

The Gigacube 9600 pro-lite 400/400 (which would now be called the GC Radeon 9600C3 according to the article [unless you're getting the 256mb version]) should do better than an R9600non-pro 325/400 because it is the same board and similar memory (TSOP not BGA). If it were different memory then there may be a reason to think one would be better. But in the end the mhz will be the diff. and more is better, and if it's what appears to be the same memory and a lower STOCK core, then likely it's a BIN'd part that couldn't reach 400/400 so likely has crummy overhead on the core.
