[SOLVED] given up on solving blue screen after reinstall snowleopard

macbook pro 10.6.8. after successfully upgrading from tiger to snow leopard the boot started ok but stopped with a blue screen just before desktop. Boots ok in safe mode, did disk utility, it says HD volume is ok.. Disk permission was done and disk repair.
 
Solution
Reinstall Snow Leopard, or even better.. Erase and Reinstall, something went wrong with the upgrade and the kernel extensions controlling your GPU are not loading completely(general symptom of this is stopping on the blue screen during the loading process(kext pass off, driver handoff stage). Safe Boot works because it is loading a compatibility set of the GPU kernel extension.
