Gmod system requirement help.

Hello all,im considering to buy gmod,but i have SSE1,question is,does this game require SSE2?

Hello all,im considering to buy gmod,but i have SSE1,question is,does this game require SSE2?

Why would you think the game may need SSE2? Or even to think about worrying about it? I don't think I have seen any games that list the SSE version it needs. Maybe minimum shader model or Direct X version or CPU speed, but never SSE.

Edit on Steam they list:

Graphics: DirectX® 9 level Graphics Card (Requires support for SSE)
DirectX: Version 9.0c

So SSE is required but since they don't say 2 or higher, don't see why 1 won't work.

I tried playing games like tf2,which says it requires SSE,and when i launch it i get unable to load filesystem_stdio.dll. This happens beecause of game updates,but system requirements dont get updated.So,was this game updated?

Uninstall and re-install Steam, make sure your video drivers are updated.

I allready tried that before,sorry for late response.I ask do you have seen like in a Gmod u pdate it says they added SSE2 support? Check if u can,if u cant :/

SSE2 should work as well as SSE1 which gmod does have support for.

You did not list your system specs, what video card do you have? TF2 has pretty low requirements, unless you have some old hardware or running on bad drivers it should run with no issues.
