I have a 4k monitor, so at default things are tiny, can I make a Live boot & upthe scale of the display, save it & have it boot that way from then on? I want to check some things to see if my color is messed up in KDE, noww images & videos seem like they are washed out. Web pages are fine on KDE.

Thing about Live desktop sessions are they're not designed to store anything - because it's designed for optical storage. However - there exist tools for flashing iso images to usb sticks that can create it in such a way that some settings are being saved.

Have a look for rufus or similar programs <link>

I use Linux Mint Cinnamon version and when it boots it offers a compatibility mode which avoids such problems. Also, are any of the videos that appear to be washed out HDR format videos? Perhaps KDE is having a problem handling those or HDR needs to be turned on.
