Going 300 ft from modem to computer

I am kind of the night watchmen for my family business. I live in a 5th wheel camping trailer at the back of the property, and the modem is at the front in the office. I want Internet in my trailer, but I have to go about 300 feet between modem and trailer. So I figure wireless is out of the picture, because we have a garage type building that takes up most if not all of the distance. With cable, what's my best bet to go the 300 feet?

Solution
300 ft is right at the top end of the spec (100m) for twisted pair ethernet. BUT, if you use cat6 cable I bet it will work. One uninterrupted cable will be best because each time you cut you introduce signal loss.

If your building has a lot of electrical noise generating equipment, then you might have to go with copper to fiber adapters with a fiber cable in between.

Standard cat5 (category 5) Ethernet cable is rated to run 100 meters, about 330 feet. It will go at least 300 feet. If you underestimated the distance, or for some reason it doesn't 'quite work, just set up a standard 4-port network switch at the end of the garage, before the cable goes outside, to act as a repeater. The switch, being powered, will give you another 300 feet from the switch to your PC.

Switches are dumb, they don't do any routing, they don't need any setup, they just pass on network traffic
