I have had an AMD GPU for the last 5 years and I'm about to install a RTX 2060. I read a few different reviews on Newegg and Amazon that said people had a lot of trouble going from AMD to Nvidia because the drivers were clashing or it wasn't registering the new NVIDIA drivers. Do I uninstall the AMD drivers while I still have AMD card installed then switch out to the new GPU and install the new drivers or what order should this be done and is there any program that will make sure the old drivers are totally gone?

Solution
before doing anything with the GPU's it is recommended to run the program display driver uninstaller to completely remove all video drivers on your system as some AMD driver files can still be left on the system if you use windows to uninstall and can cause conflicts when you install the nvidia drivers. if you can, try to run the program in safe mode. the program has an option you can run where it will power off your PC after it finishes the uninstall
