Hello!

I needed more storage space and have support for 2x m2 SSD storage on the motherboard. Windows is on my first SSD which I have used for many years.

After I have inserted the new storage device, I am sent directly to the BIOS without the option to change the boot disk (Which is then set to the new SSD). If I remove the new SSD it works as normal again.

New SSD: Kingston KC3000 2TB
Motherboard: ASUS TUF GAMING B550-PRO motherboard

The new one is in the slow m2 slot,
32Gb/s M.2 support:
PCIe 3.0 x4 & SATA mode

while the old one is in the fast m2 slot:
64Gb/s M.2 support
PCIe 4.0 x4 & SATA mod

I don't quite understand how to solve this.
Etc. Confused and bad PC builder.

Put the orig m.2 in the slow slot and see if it will boot and run.

Hi!

So I changed the original m2 into the slow slot and it showed no bootable device. So maybe the slot itself is malfunctioned? However it does not explain why the system wont boot when the orig is in the fast slot.
